SUNFLOWER HILL | MOUNTOWN JOURNAL

ENTRY BY JEREMY/HI54LOFI | NOVEMBER 2016

Whenever there is a clear sky in the forecast, a trip to Sunflower Hill—which you'll find in the Kimberley Nature Park, which you can get a handy paper map for at Tourist Information or the Home Hardware in the Platzl for just $5—should definitely be near the top of your list of possible things to do for that clear sky day.

Easily accessed from a trail opposite the entry to Kimberley Riverside R.V. Resort (which you can get to by heading a few minutes down St. Mary Lake RD), you'll find yourself enjoying breathtaking views of mountains & rolling hills & valleys (and in the summer, actual sunflowers—well, ok, Balsam Root), all while barely breaking a sweat (or not breaking a sweat at all, if you eat less potato chips than I tend to do).

Here's some pics from a couple trips we took up the hill during the last few days of the 'Extended Summer of Late October / Early November 2016'.
